2007 Arizona Transportation Conference

For many years, the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce has worked in association with other stakeholders on regional and statewide transportation issues.  This conference is a forum for members of the business community, transportation community, city and rural officials and policy makers to discuss and debate a comprehensive statewide transportation plan for Arizona.  The conference is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, Dec. 14 at the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort.  The conference will consist of networking opportunities, lectures, and plenary sessions; allowing participants to hear from transportation experts.  The event may also have vendors from the world of transportation planning presenting the latest technologies and techniques in rural and metropolitan planning. Additional information provided will highlight every mode of transportation and related topics affecting highways, transit, high-speed rail, aviation and financing.

The conference will feature Governor Napolitano, US Secretary of Transportation Mary Peters, Mayors panel, Director of the Arizona Department of Transportation Victor Mendez, Senate and House Transportation Chairmen, rural and urban transportation organizations and Phoenix International Airport.  It is our hope that this event will foster further discussion and policies to help build a safer, more effective and more efficient state wide transportation system for Arizona’s future.
